LIMEN

Galerie Bacqueville is delighted to present the second solo show by German painter Theresa Möller.

Theresa Möller's latest canvases are a new ode to nature, the central subject of the artist's practice. Bursting with colour and detail, the limen whose silt - which gives the exhibition its title - becomes the surface from which light is reflected and from which vegetation and phenomena of undulation or evaporation emerge, tinting the scenes with the supernatural.

In the windows Theresa Möller opens for us, nature seems inexhaustible, as our gaze is drawn from the foreground to the background, stimulated by the rhythm she orchestrates: between the lines that punctuate the space and the more organic precipitates and drips that counterbalance them, we see the art of composition, the complexity and pleasure of the pictorial gesture.
