The Bacqueville Gallery brings together the artists Bérangère Fromont, David De Beyter, Thomas Devaux, and Nicolas Lebeau. Although their photographic approaches differ, their works all pay particular attention to phenomena of transformation: the transformation of bodies, territories, light, and even collective narratives. Straddling the line between artistic experimentation and documentary observation, each artist develops a visual language in which reality seems to constantly shift towards a fictional or introspective dimension.
This selection, permeated by social, existential and/or sensory questions, presents worlds in which the image becomes a space for sensory experience, capable of revealing the invisible tensions that shape our era, whilst opening up profoundly poetic perspectives.
