On the occasion of The Armory Show, Galerie Bacqueville presents 'The Sun Worshippers', a solo show by Thomas Devaux bringing together works from the Rayons and Dichroics series.
Through light, colour and perceptual phenomena, Thomas Devaux explores the persistence of the sacred in a world that seems to have turned away from it. His works shift the forms of contemplation and fascination towards new objects, giving rise to visual experiences that oscillate between apparition, attraction and revelation.
Between fascination, desire and transcendence, 'The Sun Worshippers' thus questions the new forms of the sacred
produced by our relationship with images and objects.
